The things you can't google
I’ve always loved journaling, but when it came to my grandparents I realised just how fleeting memories can be. They moved countries as young adults (from Panjab to the UK), carrying with them a world of unique experiences and traditions. I tried to piece together their stories, gathering little fragments here and there, but the vibrancy of their lives were fading fast. I hadn’t captured their memories when I had the chance and I realised I couldn’t just ‘Google’ this stuff, it was gone.

It didn’t take long for me to see I wasn’t the only one feeling this way. Friends and family wanted to capture their grandparents’ stories too (who were still around) - but didn’t know what to ask and had been typing random notes on their phone. I wanted to give them a beautiful and luxurious place to store their memories in a guided, well rounded way – after all it’s what their stories deserved. Handwritten. In their own words. What could be more special than that? That’s why I created the journals I wish I’d had. Since then, it’s become clear that people from all cultures and walks of life share this same passion for keeping memories alive and showing their loved ones how valued their lives are - and that’s exactly what we’re here to do.
