Hello and a warm welcome to Jalsa Roots!
What better way to introduce to ourselves than with our very first blog! Jalsa Roots is an online stationary store launching with our grandparent memory journals. Learn more about the inspiration behind these little gems here.
So what does Jalsa Roots mean? Jalsa means a ‘social gathering’ or a ‘meeting to celebrate’. It can be found in several languages such as Persian and Punjabi. And the word roots means…well… roots! Although its meaning is already pretty clear, roots to us means ‘origin’ and ‘foundation’.
Even though we launched in 2024, Jalsa Roots’ journey began long before this; stemming from a love of all things stationary and journals since childhood (it’s in our ‘roots’ if you will). To us, journals are not just journals; they are a place of discovery, preservation and exploration. And our small business is so much more than just a stationary brand. At the heart of Jalsa Roots is compassion. Through our blog and journals, we hope to encourage compassion, spread happiness and help you nurture the relationship with yourself and others.
